This month, Peter Boghossian joins us all the way from Australia to answer your Ask Me Anything questions! He was invited by the University of Technology Sydney for a visiting professorship, and naturally, he’s taking the opportunity to film Spectrum Street Epistemology (SSE) conversations while he’s there.
In this video, we hear about life in Sydney, a comparison between how young people in different countries participate in SSE, why you have to understand the science to critique how it’s reported, more on “smuggling in” assumptions, why some people are more open to SSE than others, a bit about the multiverse, using techniques from How to Have Impossible Conversations with kids, the societal collapse meter, which college classes to avoid, where to start with science fiction shows, and what’s extra special about Babylon 5.
We inadvertently missed an important question about Drag Queen Story Hour, which Peter will address as soon as possible!

All contributions go directly to Peter’s nonprofit organization, National Progress Alliance, which pays for our video projects. We believe civil conversations are an essential addition to the often irrational online landscape.
