Award-winning Australian filmmaker Mike Nayna had behind-the-scenes access to the Grievance Studies Affair. In 2018, James Lindsay, Helen Pluckrose, and I wrote and submitted 20 intentionally broken, flawed, and morally repugnant papers to top journals in the field of “Grievance Studies.”
For 10 months, Mike lived at my, Jim’s, and Helen's homes. He documented every aspect of the project and is now telling this story in The Reformers.
The Reformers premieres on Sunday, May 7th. It is a four-part series. Part one will be free to everyone via Mike’s Youtube and Substack and the remaining three parts will be paywalled.
I’ve not watched the documentary yet, but I’m incredibly excited to see it. I’m also eager to hear your responses and get your opinions about The Reformers. Please find the trailer below.
I just listened to James Lindsay's podcast bullet titled "Sand in The Gears" at https://newdiscourses.com/2023/05/sand-in-the-gears/
The Grievance Studies Affair and The Reformers documentary are ways to dramatically throw sand in the woke Marxist gears. James Lindsay describes many smaller, simpler and undramatic ways for the ordinary citizen to do that in his podcast.
This is so important. We have to talk about how these ideas masquerade as science. Theories have to be able to be disproven - this is one route, to disprove. But some of this stuff is such trash (so bad something my PhD advisor would quip ‘it isn’t EVEN wrong’) it isn’t even worthy of an argument. I think exposing it for what it is - garbage - is an awesome approach!
