Two American women and an Australian man participate in a Spectrum Street Epistemology exercise after the Skeptic Conference in Santa Barbara, CA. Peter engages the group in various claims about sex and gender, including whether children can consent to sex “interventions” and whether gay or trans people are born that way. Much of the discussion revolved around the age at which certain surgical procedures would be appropriate; the group also discussed these issues in relation to moral judgment.
I hope the conference was awesome! I'm jealous, but in the best way. The video gave me hope not all of the skeptic and atheism communities haven't been hoodwinked by postmodernism.
Humans > Men, Women > Hetero, Homo, Bisexual. That's it. How people fail to understand this is mind-boggling. "Feeling" or "believing" you are or "wanting" to be the other sex is just that: Feeling, belief, want/need. No one is entitled to privileges in law or society based on those. PS Unless you're a noun, you don't have a gender. Can we all agree to just stop saying the effing word "gender"!? It's SEX!
Good to know there's such a variety of views on this and it's not being enforced so terribly.

Great segment! I especially like the gay vs. trans questions. I think ‘because they have the right to…’ is a very weak answer.
