Peter has a great talent for epistemology and breaking down systems of belief. I would like to know how many people he has gotten to fundamentally change their belief structure with this method.

he seems to operate under the assumption that religious folks only believe in God or religion because of a lack of reason or that they haven’t properly examined their own notions.

as if the entire human race has been asleep the whole time and just needs to shake off the cobwebs of superstition.

this has not been my experience with those of real faith. the foundation of their belief comes from, for lack of a better word, the religious instinct or even gut feeling sometimes born for suffering or experience. I can’t think of any human culture that doesn’t share this universal phenomenon.

now, as this applies to the SJW/Woke crowd, he might have better results, but even then, we are looking at a very similar pattern.

It seems that the foundation of most Woke belief is really just emotional at it’s core. they heard something or read something that sounded good to them and that is usually the depth of thought needed. this is painfully obvious in Peters video on the college campuses. as soon as he scratches the surface, they crumble.

anyways, I imagine it’s pretty rare for someone to change their mind these days.

here is hoping...

I'd love to have this method tested (pre- and post-) by an independent academic. Hard data would be terrific.

While reading your footnotes it occurred to me that, yes, Gender is a social construct.

Until recently, gender was a grammatical term for a class of nouns. And since language is a social construct so is "gender". Sex, of course, is biological.

I imagine this is especially challenging when participants present completely contradictory evidence. Disputes over facts are why such exchanges often break down.
