We’ve come to the final episode of Kendipalooza, our six-part series examining Ibram X. Kendi’s claim, “The only remedy to past discrimination is present discrimination.” In the previous conversation, the Armenian genocide was touched upon, but here, the students go more deeply into it—and Peter shares a story about how his Armenian grandmother survived the genocide. Three of the four students in this conversation are Armenian Americans.
I enjoy these Q&As and I think the students are thoughtful and interesting, but I wonder how representative these students are of the campus population in general. This is a miniscule sample of students. I don't agree that conversations where the participants are closely in agreement are more interesting than where there is a wider spectrum of opinions. I wonder if the more woke students are being discouraged from participating because of Mr. Boghossian's reputations. I think because so few students from the left are participating this becomes a less useful exercise than Mr. Boghossian would like to think it is.
I like them all.
#5 is my favorite
I think the answers are some of the most interesting
#6 is my second favorite
I think the answers are the most insightful
#2 is the most thought-provoking for me
