Parents should be the one discussing this topic with their children and guiding them on this according to what they believe...because its their children and they will deal with any consequence of outcome.
Second...I would never trust some stranger to talk about sex with my child especially in secret. Period.
The "in secret" part is what they do now in many places.
Parents rights?
Same reason we don't allow religions to be taught in schools.
Ideologies are the parent's sole responsibility.
Definitely not the states job and the teachers in public schools represent the government.
Can't believe that this wasn't brought up by anyone...even in chat.
So many smart people but not one could articulate a parents right?
Only perverts have a need to talk to children about their sexual deviance.
Sex is a biological function.
Being "gay" isn't.
Do I really need to go into the functionality of putting sperm in a place to inseminate the egg?
Do I really need to go into the function of the penis is not to go into the anus?
Do I really need to go into the functionality of the anus is not for things to go in but for things to come out?
Any gay sexual act is derived solely on pleasure.
While with natural sex, the pleasure is incentive to have children.
The term "love" itself is solely social construct.
Deep lifelong friendship is getting confused with "love".
The reason in nature to have a man and a woman stay together is to ensure the birth and rearing of the child to adulthood...thus ensuring the parents legacy in their children.
Anything else is deviant from the natural construct of biology.
I am not saying people can't be who they want.
But let us be clear on what is going on.
The "gay" community is getting blowback because they try to gaslight you into thinking that biological sex isn't the norm in nature.
And when regular people can't articulate their understanding of the natural order they get attacked.
Gay people are trying to ostracize straight men...fighting discrimination with discrimination.
We would end as a species if we were all gay.
Nature even doesn't like it.
Monkey pox anyone...result of putting your penis in a dirty whole.
Again, you can be who you want. But there are natural consequences for your actions.
Even having multiple sexual partners has consequences...probably why nature has evolved lifelong partners.
Finally, a boy who wants to wear a dress or likes the color pink has absolutely nothing to do with his biological sex.
Those are just preferences that affect biological reality in zero ways.
There are men in Scotland that wear dresses and they are very "manly".
There are men in other cultures that pierce themselves and they are still men.
There are so many reasons why a boy would play with a girl doll that has nothing to do with sexual orientation.... simply the only toy there? .... attracted to the naked girl toy? ...wanting to have friends and the only ones available are girls? ...so many more.
And the same holds true for girls too.
And because children can't understand their motivations let alone articulate them with words they haven't even learned yet, these lonely sexual deviants twist the situation to fill their need to not be the exception.
I feel ridiculous even having to state the OBVIOUS.
I think that a child's mind about sexuality can be swayed IF they are taught about it prior to actually going through puberty and knowing (with personal knowledge) what it is like. The problem with teaching children who haven't had any personal knowledge on it is that it's building a framework for them so that they can't see beyond the boxes or labels or beliefs and find their own beliefs about it.
Too many young children are claiming to be sexualities that mean they don't find people sexually attractive unless they have emotions attached to that person. That's called being a normal person. But children are being taught that it's a weird sub category.
Also, the actual teachers teaching it are biased and want to push their beliefs about it onto children because they think we made some costly mistake in the past the way we used to teach the binary sexual orientations. They have a grudge which means they're not thinking clearly so they can't teach clearly.
If we had unbiased teachers teaching it matter-of-factly to older children who already knew where their sexual attractions lay, I wouldn't care about teaching it as fact (some people believe they have this attraction, etc).
But they're teaching these beliefs as if they're facts which is just brainwashing.
Just read the premise of your discussion and found it to be lacking.
Its a complex issue that adults haven't even come together on.
The only reason to push for teaching unsettled issues on children is to indoctrinate them into your personal way of thinking.
Basically, give kids a blueprint.
It definitely makes children more inclined to do the act once introduce to it...thus the discretion needed.
And who is to decide the discretion?....The parents...PERIOD.
Parents that house them, feed them, gave birth to them, will suffer the consequence of raising them.
If there is any dispute then they should not be taught the topic.
Whether being gay is right or wrong is an opinion.
Those opinions should not be pushed on children.
Didn't the "DARE" program (designed to educate kids on drugs) just cause more kids to know about them and abuse them more?
Let's make its clear.
Children at that age are sponges...all they do is absorb information without context of experience.
They don't discern if the information is bad or good.
They just absorb it.
So, no, teachers should not push their opinion on impressionable children that are not theirs.
So are they teaching the dangers of being gay? STD's anyone....no family to continue you...the health issues associated with gay sex ( anal tearing and such)...that engaging in anything for just pleasure can lead to addictions and mental depression because it lacks meaning beyond the immediate.
Do they discuss why it's an unnatural act?
Do they go into why the major portion of the population engages in biological sex for procreation?
Do they go in depth on the moral implications of such decisions? A decision that will affect the rest of their lives.
I am betting they don't.
Yes, it's a very complex issue that even adults have not come together on.
Why would anyone think it's okay and settled enough to "teach" someone on a topic that is still controversial to adults?
Unless it's to sway the impressionable children to their way of thinking.
Agreed - Sexual orientation should not be discussed in elementary school
All the alphabet stuff is social contagion. Schools should not try to influence sexual lifestyle choices.
You are missing the whole point.
Parents should be the one discussing this topic with their children and guiding them on this according to what they believe...because its their children and they will deal with any consequence of outcome.

So sad.
I would love to see a piece that addresses this statement:
Woke college/university students lack resistance to frustration and are intolerant of opposing opinions.
Only perverts have a need to talk to children about their sexual deviance.
Sex is a biological function.

Which is by its nature, deviant behavior.
It really doesn't matter what you think someone else's kid should be brought up.
I would never allow a stranger to talk about sexual things to my 5 year old in secret or just without me present. Period.
Only sickos have a need to talk to children about their adult sexual thoughts.
