I suggest that everyone read "Unsettled" by Steven Koonin or "False Alarm" by Bjorn Lomborg. Both of these books examine the actual scientific evidence about climate change. They are very enlightening reads.

Although Shellenberger's reporting on the TwitterFiles has been excellent, he can't hide his history of warmed-over Bjorn Lomborg anti-environmentalism and fossil fuel shilling. See Paul Thacker's detailed 3-part expose on Substack about Shellenberger's fake environmental group, the "Breakthrough Institute".

I couldn't care less about imaginary UFOs, but climate change denial/delay has serious consequences (and has ZERO to do with woke/culture war issues).

Thank you for sharing this excellent conversation, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I can’t wait to see the final product of your project! You had great follow-up questions and Michael’s answer to your question about the meaning of elites https://youtu.be/fB7fpitQzzM?t=1233 was very interesting. I think his identification of the “elites” is spot on and his inclusion of the media reminded me of several things at once regarding media and the globalists. If you ask the “elites” if they are concerned about the emissions from their private planes used to fly to the climate conference, their response will include the word “offset” which resembles the idea of Catholic indulgences.

1. Follow the YouTube “contexting”

YouTube adds context to a surprisingly small set of words and phrases. Among them are the words “Covid” and “Climate Change”. Two others that I believe are relevant to this conversation are “United Nations” and “Council on Foreign Relations” (CFR).

2. Robert Muller (author of the world core curriculum, which became common core in the US) provides some useful information about the “elites” or those “ruling of the world”:

“Since business was the first to globalize itself worldwide, far beyond governments, and since corporations are now for all practical purposes ruling the world, we should give them the opportunity“

3. “No I think that advertisement plays a very necessary role; but, the danger to me in a democracy is this, I mean, what does a democracy depend on? A democracy depends on the individual voter making an intelligent and rational choice for what he regards as his enlightened self-interest in any given circumstance; but what these people are doing, I mean, what both for their particular purposes, for selling goods and the dictatorial propagandists are doing, is to try to bypass the rational side of men and to appeal directly to these unconscious forces below the surface, so that you are in a way making nonsense of the whole democratic procedure which is based on conscious choice or on rational ground.” - Aldous Huxley https://youtu.be/alasBxZsb40?t=890

He also mentions that Democratic Republics are based on the notion that too much power in the hands of too few people is dangerous. Subconscious influence is an instrument of obtaining power which subverts the ability of the constitution to limit power. https://youtu.be/alasBxZsb40?t=918 Right before the end of the interview, Mike Wallace asks how the Soviet Union can produce art and advances in technology without being a free society? https://youtu.be/alasBxZsb40?t=1482 Huxley’s answer is, provided the oligarchs of society do not get involved in political affairs, they are given a considerable amount of freedom while treating the rest of society like worker drones. https://youtu.be/alasBxZsb40?t=1513 Mike Wallace’s reaction to Huxley’s answer is what makes this relevant to Peter and Michael’s conversation. Rather than being repulsed by the idea, Mike Wallace eagerly asks Huxley to go into further detail on how to create that society next time they have a conversation. Huxley's seems to pick up on this as his answer is, "Yes, but I must say I still believe in democracy". https://youtu.be/alasBxZsb40?t=1583

4. 50 years later, Mike Wallace’s son, Chris Wallace, is engaging in the behavior predicted by Huxley earlier in the video (with regards to politicians and advertisement agencies) by participating in “crazy-making”. https://youtu.be/nhUIhli71XI?t=38

5. It turns out Mike Wallace was mentored by Walter Cronkite, which brings this full circle.

“First we Americans are going to have to yield up some of our sovereignty. That's going to be to many, a bitter pill. It would take a lot of courage, a lot of faith, a lot of persuasion, for them to come along with us on this necessity.” - Walter Cronkite https://youtu.be/ANiqW8F0A5c?t=345
