There is another facet of this issue that may not be readily evident. In 1963 I moved from Montgomery County, Maryland, to Prince Georges County. I was taking second level French and first level Latin at the time; Montgomery County used an oral-aural approach to teaching foreign languages, while Prince Georges County used grammar-translation. When I entered the classroom, I greeted the teacher in French. It quickly became apparent that I spoke French better than anyone in the room, including the teacher.

35 years later I addressed a Board of Directors in Paris. In the midst of the presentation they asked if I had English slides; I did and used them going forward. The Chairman of the Board later told me, "It's amazing. You speak so well and you write like sh!t"

What are the top three racist conditions that disadvantage today's black Americans?

Biggest disadvantage is fatherless homes. Second is black in black crime/violence. Third is poor education opportunities in their communities.
