Not really. Most acts of violence start from some level of hate so trying to equate acts of hate with the start of a repeat of what happens to the Jews in WW2 era Germany is a leap not possible.

You're also not giving the Jewish people credit for being tuff and rugged. They've been dealing with anti-Jewish hate from the Muslims for a VERY long time. They don't or at least shouldn't need America to be big brother and protect them from hurt feelings and mean words.

Peter I agree 100% that Europe ( The Church ) is casually anti Jew. The Brits learn it likewise from the gospels or elders .A short while ago they were all actual Nazis who gladly pointed out the hiding Jews. Or like Britain refused refugees

I agree that the ICC the UN -UNRA is a EU invention to focus solely on Israel . Qatari oil is at the root of the Media buy. Pro jihadist 😂

I can't agree that Australia is importing the rest of the world to atone for the sins of our forefathers, as in October 2023 we had an opportunity to do just that and vote Yes to the Voice referendum (iinclude Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders in our constitution and allow them to have a Voice To Parliament where the government of the day may respond to their requests/proposals) but 63% of us said No.

However, I would accept we Australians may want to be seen to be atoning without actually having to do anything.

Essay #4: Antisemitism is the Devil's Flagpole

There’s One Jew They Hate Most of All

Andrew Klavan

Apr 29, 2024

https://thenewjerusalem.substack.com/p/essay-4-antisemitism-is-the-devils

One of my favorite Hollywood stories comes from Scott Eyman’s biography John Wayne: The Life and Legend.

When Wayne was lying on his death bed, a group of friends came to visit him. One friend, named Al, was Jewish. Knowing the Duke was forever being accused of bigotry, Wayne’s son joked, “The reason Duke didn’t want to see you was because Al is a Jew.”

The ailing Wayne smiled and pointed at the ceiling. “It’s the other Jew I don’t want to see,” he said.

As the saying goes: It’s funny because it’s true.

"Jew hatred is on the rise"

But is it really on the rise or is this something else?

I say its not really a rise in hatred but more a rise in existing hatred being more openly vocal , more public. That and a growth in the number of ethnic independents, those who were neither in favor of nor against Jews, frustrations with Israel and a number of wealthy/influential Jews in America butting into American governance regardless of the reasons.

AIPAC is a perfect example of abuses allowed by America of Israel that no other nation/group gets away with. Rep Thomas Massie has gone into details about AIPAC and how they operate. It's obvious that Israel uses AIPAC to by-pass laws governing external influence into American governance. The Kennedy administration pressured the American Zionist Council (AZC) to register as a foreign agent under the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA). The AZC was an umbrella organization for Zionist groups in the U.S., and at the time, it included a lobbying arm called the American Zionist Committee for Public Affairs (AZCPA), which later became AIPAC. That was until JFL was removed from the Whitehouse and then this all went away and since then AIPAC has been operating in a very unethical/questionable manner and it's solely b/c they represent Israel.

I believe you are seeing frustrations with Israel's abuses of its relationship with America coming to a head around the same time the Left on the West has empowered anti-Jewish groups including terrorist organizations, to feel more brazen and wiling to be open and honest about their hatred.

AIPAC isn't the only example of special/preferential treatment. For some reason teh term racism is good enough to describe the dislike/hatred of one ethnic group by another save for one; Jews. For Jews the term racism apparently wasn't good enough and so they came up with antisemitism. Why do you think that is? In an older (20+ yrs) 60 minute segment they interviewed an elderly Jewish woman in NYC who I believe was a death camp survivor. At one point she was asked about the term antisemitism and she said it was created to emotionally manipulate Americans. Whether true or not it is interesting how the term has been effectively weaponized and how it's tossed around whenever someone asks an uncomfortable question. I guarantee someone will call me an anti-Semite for simply mentioning this and that's b/c it's intent is to shut down criticism.

I believe you are not seeing a rise in hate but in frustration; frustration with what Israel has been allowed to get away with in terms of teh abuse of its relationship with America. America sacrificed it's own to save teh Jews from the Nazis and the response hasn't been on of thanks so much as one of of "OK what are you going to do for us next?".

It is possible to not want to afford any one group special preferential treatment and also not hate that group.

So did you just not read the entire post or are you ignoring the example provided of AIPAC?

There's more though. Criticism of Jews/Israel is the only group that criticism can get you banned from bidding on state contracts. Certain other groups get preferential treatment which is also discriminatory but Jews are the only one that is a negative consequence. Spread hate about Italians? No problem. Spread hate abo Irish? No problem. Say anything questionable about Jews and or Israel and no contracts for you.

I believe people are also done with the constant tossing around of anti-Semite. It;s as watered down now as homophobia, islamophobia and the rest because it was never about specifying what has happened but using language designed to invoke an emotional response specifically one of shame. Do you believe Jews are the ONLY group pf people that have faced persecution on teh planet? If no then how do other groups get by without their own special take on the word racism?

And to be clear this all comes to down to a a small percentage of Jews as most are like everyone else. It's those with wealthy, power & influence that are the problem, that like sticking their nose in American governance and trying to steer it.

Thomas Sowell is the man when it comes to common sense economics and I have no idea why you messaged this to me as it has nothing to do with my claim. I have not once said that Jews are not hated or that they haven't been persecuted. My contention is they are not the ONLY group of people to face hatred on a large scale yet for some reason they are portrayed that way. I also am in no way defending the Palestinians or any Muslim group. IMO they are the most dangerous group of people out there and we're fools in America to allow so many in as we have.

Wanna bet? OK show me wide scale criticism of people who express hatred towards Italians as is done when hatred towards the Jews starts winding up lie it has the last year or 2. I'm also looking forward to hearing what special word teh Italians use that is their "anti-Semitism"

Thomas Sowell is a solid and under-referenced scholar (in wider world of lit rather than TV multi-media\culture critics who did migrate to the rare career on boob-tube without too much cheapening his scholarship).

I'm not sure why you introduce a subject with such a long and varied his\herstory and then keep your comments Sowell-centric or Sowell-sipstic (bad pun on solipsistic....), especially when a TV popularizer like Neal Gabler has had a book that bridges serious Media Studies scholarship with more popularizing multi-media and mainstream presss criticism like Gabler's referential https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/An_Empire_of_Their_Own

Gabler's (Public then Commercial TV) tube presence as well as his literary output that often defines such populizers and competing aesthetics\poetics press specialists and academic "lit" experts found in the Mass Media Golden Rolodex is unique. Not to guild the lily but he does sort of merit "An Empire of His Own.... " While Gabler could be grouped with the self-identified "Liberal" crowd, Sowell has self-labeled himself and reached some wider purchase via Conservative broadcast\press platforms (CPB\PBS\NPR & commercial broad\net-casters) that allow him to sharpen his Poetics quite apart from socio-economic compartmentalization or market segmentation that muscled others beyond Mass Mediated Glare.

So many other culturally\politically self-identified "Lefties" and those most often pejoratively branded "Socialists (never mind Democratic Socialists dba Bro Bernie Sanders Duopoly Primary campaigners)" by the Duopoly of corporate-captured Mainstream big "D" Democratic Liberals and hard big "G" Grand Ol' Party (GOP) Republican Conservatives who feed from the streams of corporate under-writing (therefore the Fear\Favor barely referenced in what passes for Media Criticism within broadcast outlets and national advertiser-driven press of one sort or another).

Peter - How about doing a piece on how famous/wealthy Jewish Billionaires like Bill Kristol never had any problems with the on campuses activities and hate being expressed by certain groups UNTIL the targets included Jews. He was perfectly A-OK with the attacks on Christians and Whites on Liberal campuses. It was only after Jews got included in the cross hairs was it then a step too far.

OH so Kristol didn't actually wait until Jews were included in the protests to do something, he acted long before that right? Anyone can pay lip service to something but words are cheap where as action, actually doing something is very different.

As for your 2 links, the first is from April 2024, AFTER this all kicked off so whatever it is that is AFTER Jews were put into the firing lines of the protestors. Your 2nd link is to a 2018 conversation and in it Kristol says that Populism (ie Trump/MAGA) are a THREAT to the status quo. Kristol didn't give 2 shifts about what was going on until Jews became the target.

I disagree - this is HUGE news since events from our little/big country don't usually make it up to the big leagues.

Although I don't agree that this shows Jew hatred is on the rise, I think it is what it has always been - and just its expression has become socially acceptable (or so the nurses thought).

This posted on Friday by Dan Linnaeus on X about the Palestinian American lawyer Jenin Younes who is Dr Jay Battarcharyea’s lawyer

Jenin Younes, a litigation attorney with the New Civil Liberties Alliance (NCLA), represents Dr. Jay Bhattacharya, who recently testified before the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee regarding his nomination to lead the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Younes attended the confirmation hearing, sharing photographs of herself alongside Dr. Bhattacharya.

Dr. Bhattacharya, a prominent figure during the COVID-19 pandemic, co-authored the Great Barrington Declaration, which criticized widespread lockdowns and advocated for focused protection strategies. He has also been involved in legal actions against the Department of Justice, alleging censorship over his COVID-19 stance; these cases progressed to the Supreme Court.

Younes has publicly slammed President Trump’s pro-Israel policies and recently lambasted statements by Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Congresswoman Elise Stefanik condemning antisemitism on U.S. campuses for infringement upon First Amendment rights. She has also criticized initiatives like the Antisemitism Awareness Act for suppressing legitimate debate on university campuses.

A month after October 7 Younes questioned evidence of Hamas’s atrocities saying, “ I regret not pushing back, & am eternally grateful to @MaxBlumenthal and others for their intrepid journalism in this area,” on social media.

The Simon Wiesenthal Center cited Blumenthal in its 2013 list of “Top Ten Antisemitic/Anti-Israel Slurs,” for his comparisons between Israeli policies and those of Nazi Germany. His website, The Grayzone, has published content that supports Russian and Syrian government narratives, denying human rights abuses in countries like China and Syria. For example, Blumenthal has been accused of participating in coordinated campaigns aimed at discrediting the Syrian Civil Defense, known as the White Helmets

In June 2024, The Washington Post reported on leaked documents indicating that Wyatt Reed, managing editor of The Grayzone, received payments from Iran’s state-controlled broadcaster, Press TV, for contributions made in 2020 and 2021.

In January 2025, during Secretary of State Antony Blinken’s final press conference, Blumenthal was forcibly removed after accusing Blinken of enabling genocide in Gaza.

Dr. Jay Battarcharyea, a Christian doctor, was informed many months ago of Jenin Younes’s anti-Israel and barely veiled antisemitic stances which she actively launders through interactions and alignments with staunchly anti-Zionist Jewish figures. He said he wasn’t aware.

But Younes advocates her anti-Israel positions fervently, actively seeking to affect conservative youth whom she believes can reverse U.S. policies on Israel which she characterizes with extreme prejudice: “our relationship with Israel is parasitic. The kids will save us.” When the Bibas children were returned, after their coffins were paraded next to their murdered mother, Younes remarked that Zionists “are now using the tragic deaths of the Bibas children to justify more murder.”

In this post below, Younes stokes divides within the Trump administration and Israel over their direct contact with Hamas, accusing Israel of espionage and being an obstacle to peace.

Jenin Younis, in case you missed the memorandum of understanding etched into the hearts and minds of the western world on October 7: Hamas is not a partner for peace.

This is cause for concern
