I greatly enjoyed the video and sent it to my friends. I used to think “what’s the point when I’ll always be weaker” too but Matt made me realise you don’t have to be stronger, you can have an edge that causes an attacker to think twice. If it reduces the chance of being attacked, it’s worth learning. In Britain, we’re not allowed pepper spray let alone a weapon. We just have the good old fashioned kick to the balls and run away.

Peter - I know you mean well but martial arts will help maybe a very, VERY few women b/c of the strength differential between men and women. It is such that most men can still overpower a female trained in any martial arts.

If you want to protect the women in your lives they need to be taught how to use a weapon, the ONLY true equalizer.

Have you listened to my other content on this? I’ve been advocating exactly that for years. Also, if you watch the video Matt teaches methods and strategies for keeping potential assailants away.

I try to take in as much of your content as I can but honestly I have not seen it all and sometimes it's done passively (i.e. while working) and so it doesn't sink in the same.

The problem is not just one of strength differential but mindset. In general (b/c there are always exceptions) women will panic when attacked where as men will react. I have 2 daughters and they both took some martial arts but still I KNEW they needed fire arms training so they are NEVER at the mercy of some man. I'm not saying do not tech them these things whatever MA it is you select but that they all should also be trained to use a firearm. Honestly I don't think anyone will be lesser off for learning how to use firearms just as none (save for maybe those with physical limitations) are lessor off for learning some martial arts. It's not as if some women today aren't just s aggressive as men and so when it's female on female the one with some MA skills is better off.

Whether we are or not know that many of us do support your efforts!

I was gonna say this, glad I wasn't the only one with the thought. I'm a firm believer that of anyone, women have the greatest need to concealed carry.

This is very true. Also martial arts is only viable when a person practice actual combat such as in the MMA. Most martial arts are more or less physical exercise. It is great for physical fitness but for a person with small stature to defend oneself against a much bigger assailant, it is best to avoid this situation at all cost. Training in firearm is much more effective.

Martial arts builds physical fitness, teaches one to be situationally aware, and to be confident, thus calm, in a confrontation with an aggressor. It also teaches one about the vulnerable points on the body, which when struck, can take down even a stronger, taller aggressor than oneself.

Training in firearms is useful, but an aggressor could grab it, and use it against you.

One's body is a weapon that an aggressor cannot take away.

I don't doubt the things you said. I know a black belt taekwondo who backed away when he was carjacked by a bum with a hand gun. He had the skill to take down the bum but the car wasn't worth the risk. In a life and death situation, it was different. I am still of an opinion that martial arts is only useful if people practice combat sparing and fighting. Too much of the modern martial arts is concentrated physical fitness and form, and not actual physical sparing.

Learning avoidance tactics will help 100% of women. It is shocking how many people neglect this aspect of self defence

I have a concealed carry permit…at 75 probably better than trying to learn jujitsu

No one requires permission (permit) from the government to exercise a right, i.e. the right to keep and bear any type and quantity of weapons, including firearms, which is enshrined in the 2nd Amendment; and the right to self-defense.

Laws to the contrary notwithstanding.

These are rights, not privileges.

It's better to be alive to defend one's rights in court than to be dead at the hands of an aggressor.

All the women in my long life have become trained in pistolcraft. Getting them to carry outside the home however, is extremely difficult, so I've had to be content with them being able to defend themselves in the home. Women just don't think like men. :)

We should "Build More Prisons" as there is simply not enough space and judges are handing out shorter sentences or no jail time because of this lack.
